As you read before, the oracle would often speak in dual meanings. How would you interpret the following phrase?

You could interpret this in two ways, depending on where you put the comma. If you put it after not, then it is saying that this warrior will not return and will perish in the battle. If, however, you put the comma before not, then it is saying that this person will return from the battle and will not perish. The two meanings are very different.
